GoMedia 2014 Awards

Call for Entries

The Canadian Tourism Commission’s annual celebration of excellence in travel journalism calls on Canadian and international entrants – from bloggers and journalists to photographers and videographers – to submit their inspired travel tales for international recognition in up to 10 GoMedia Award categories.

A panel of influential and experienced judges will review eligible submissions from all GoMedia 2011, 2012 or 2013 attendees.

Winners are announced at an awards ceremony during the 2014 GoMedia Canada Marketplace in Winnipeg, Manitoba, August 17-21.

Media winners (categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) will receive a $500 cash prize, plus locally sourced art piece. Non-media winners (categories 8, 9) will receive a locally sourced art piece. The Keep Exploring – Award of Excellence (category 10) winner receives round-trip tickets for two people from their city/country of origin to anywhere in Canada (max value $4,000). Winners do not need to be in attendance at GoMedia 2014 to be eligible for an award.

Please review categories and criteria below and submit your online entry no later than May 23, 2014.
